About

Welcome to Money Multiplied! Here you will find lifestyle content and tips to help you budget your money and save for personal financial goals.

My name is Terri King, I started this blog in 2019 not too long after graduating college. I am a proud HBCU alum. N.C. Central University is where I discovered my passion for creative writing and also where I  racked up nearly $60,000 in student loan debt.

At the time I figured I’d be forced to accept that this was all part of “adulting” — something everyone lived with and being in debt was no big deal.

So, like most adults I worked, living paycheck to paycheck struggling to make ends meet.

My income was extremely irregular and I bussed tables, mainly collecting cash tips. This led me to exploring budgeting with the cash envelope system

Things started to look up, I knew where my money was going and started to track my spending, paying close attention to what was truly a need versus a want.

Eventually, I landed my first full time job working for a major financial services company. There, my eyes were truly opened.

I realized the value of having a solid financial plan, investing for the future and planning for emergencies.

I ended up saving $10,000 in six months and relocated to a new city!

Although things aren’t perfect I’ve grown so much and I’m very happy you’re here!

You can expect lifestyle content from me around fashionable affordable finds and travel.

I also write about professional development, securing the bag and of course budgeting and cash stuffing.
